Cyclops Blue

I had saved the car jack stand in the hope I could find another object to marry & create a unique piece. On seeing the small theatre light for sale I knew this was the missing part of the puzzle. Of all my recent projects this is the one I most want to keep but my wife wont let me!!!
The grinding of the old metal to remove rust and years of weathering took hours but I wanted to keep the industrial feel of both pieces & expose the metal with lots of clear coat to protect.
The masking was complex and needed completing twice for the 4 fans to get right but I love the symmetry between the abstract & the exposed metal on the finished lamp
The reflective bulb enhances the object, especially in the evenings when it highlights the abstract.
Please remember there are sharp objects, gaps in the metal & its quite heavy if knocked over so please place in an area away from small children.
