Simple Beauty

The design is simplicity itself and I loved working on this piece, one of those I'm reluctant to sell!! There are 2 small cracks on the brass collar inside but I left them as they add to the piece and I don't use filler in any of my pieces. The splash of orange just breaks up the black and white whilst the rusty patina on the base is perfection, I used 8 coats of clear coat on the base. To finish I added some old brass parts to break up the silver metal and put three collars on the bulb attachment to give a 1950s ray gun effect.
