Metal Samurai

When I saw this lamp on Ebay it reminded me of the old Samurai films with the big hats they always used to wear, it has that look.
I also for the second time used a small wire brush on a drill to create the swirl pattern on the shade which I really love.
The metal leaves around the gooseneck base were from another failed project which fitted perfectly and, I believe, compliments the piece.
I tried to do a Japanese sun design but the shade wasn’t big enough and when I stripped the paint the metal just looked cool so decided to do my first metal only lamp and added 6 coats of clear coat to protect the metal.
More pure metal lamps will come it depends on the status of the piece when it arrives & I strip it down to its individual parts.
