Big Red

Another I would like to keep as it was the first lamp I started brushing the metal to create a circular pattern rather than paint or polish. I love the effect, especially once the clear coat is added. It took 2hrs to brush the metal but better than masking, possible mistakes with paint and is just cool.
I also heated the liquid paint on the base then let it dry and brushed the flakes off to reveal a nice splash effect over the metal.
This lamp is the marriage of a spare base, collar and large industrial shade and the black reflective bulb gives it a clown-like appearance as well as reflecting the abstract in a dark room. The lighting reflects lots of interesting shapes each time you pass the lamp
The angle of the shade is NOT adjustable.
Big Red is a real favourite of mine.
